Why no live prices?

Every number here is labelled with what it is, so you never mistake a calculator output or a dated reference figure for a live price.

Live stock quotes, index levels and fund NAVs come from licensed market-data feeds that cost real money — we haven't turned one on. Rather than show a stale or invented number labelled as "live," we either compute something from what you enter, or show a dated reference figure with its source, clearly marked Reference or End of day rather than Live.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does fin·calc show live stock or market prices?

No. Live quotes require a paid market-data licence we don't have yet. Every number on these pages is either a calculator you control, a dated reference figure from a named public source (like US Treasury yields or a metals price snapshot), or something you typed in yourself — each one is labelled so you always know which.

Does fin·calc recommend stocks, funds or when to buy or sell?

No. This section is calculators, reference data and comparisons only — never a recommendation, a rating, or investment advice. fin·calc is not a licensed financial adviser.
