fin·calc's calculators are educational tools. Every number they produce is an estimate, not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and not an offer or a quote from any bank or institution. This page explains what that means in practice for the specific numbers you see on this site.
Each calculator uses a standard formula (e.g. the reducing-balance EMI formula, or compound-interest math) applied to two kinds of numbers: what you type in, and — where you leave a field at its default — a reference rate we've compiled for your country. Reference rates are typical, editorial estimates reviewed periodically (see Methodology and Editorial Policy for how); they are not live feeds from any bank, and a specific lender's offer to you will reflect your credit profile, the loan-to-value ratio, promotional terms, and current market conditions that a general calculator cannot know. Always confirm the actual rate and terms with the lender before deciding.
Investment-growth figures (SIP, CAGR, compound interest, retirement) assume a constant rate of return for illustration. Real markets fluctuate year to year; a smooth average return over N years does not mean any individual year performed that way, and past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Loan and payoff figures assume the rate and term you enter stay fixed and payments are made on schedule; real loans can carry fees, variable rates, or penalties this calculator does not model.
Using this site does not create an advisory, fiduciary, banking, or professional relationship between you and fin·calc. We are not a bank, lender, broker-dealer, or licensed financial adviser in any jurisdiction.
