This website does not collect, store, or transmit any personal financial information you enter. All calculations happen locally in your browser. Loan amounts, investment figures, and other inputs are never sent to our servers.
The site saves a few small preferences in your browser's local storage so it remembers them on return visits. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers. The keys used today are: fincalc_cur (your chosen currency), fincalc_rates (a 24-hour cache of exchange rates), fincalc_theme (light/dark mode), fincalc_scenarios_v1 (calculator scenarios you've explicitly saved), fincalc_count_v1 (a local calculation counter used to time an occasional in-page prompt), fincalc_welcomed_v1 (whether you've dismissed the welcome message), and fincalc_jargon_v1 (your plain-language/jargon toggle). You can clear all of these at any time via your browser's site-data settings.
This site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify's servers process standard web request data (e.g. IP address, request headers) to serve the site, subject to Netlify's own privacy policy. We do not separately log or store this data ourselves.
Some calculator pages offer an optional form to email yourself a copy of your result, or to be contacted about it. If you use it, the email address you type, the calculator you were using, and the page URL are sent — via a Netlify serverless function to the Resend email API — as a one-time notification email to the site owner. This is opt-in: it only happens if you fill in and submit the form yourself. We use it only to respond to you if you asked to be contacted; we do not sell or share it with third parties.
Google AdSense. This site has Google AdSense's loader script, Google's Funding Choices consent banner (CMP), and a verified ads.txt installed, but our AdSense account is currently under review and no ad units are live yet. Once approved, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads, including personalized ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites; the consent banner will ask EEA/UK/Switzerland visitors for permission before that happens, and you will be able to opt out of personalized advertising at any time via Google Ads Settings. This section will be updated with the actual advertising cookies in use once ads go live. Your ad preferences are not stored on our servers.
If and when third-party ad vendors, including Google, are active, they may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
The calculators on this site are provided for educational and informational purposes only. Results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and standard mathematical formulas. They are not financial advice. Consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions.
We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. No personally identifying information is collected.
Users in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and California have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA, including the right to opt out of personalized advertising.
