Regular trading hours, by exchange
The open/closed dot is computed live in your browser via Intl.DateTimeFormat, using each exchange's own IANA timezone and its published weekday trading days and session times — it is not a live market-data feed. Weekends are treated as closed. Public holidays are NOT modelled — an exchange may show "open" here on a day it's actually closed for a local holiday, and vice versa near daylight-saving changes. Always check the exchange's own calendar before relying on this for a real decision.

How to read this table
Each row is that exchange's own regular continuous trading session as published on its site — the main window most trading happens in. It excludes pre-open auctions, post-close/off-market sessions and any special sessions, which several exchanges also run around the edges of the hours shown. Trading days follow each exchange's own week: most run Monday–Friday, but the Saudi Exchange trades Sunday–Thursday, and the Pakistan Stock Exchange runs a different, split Friday schedule (a shorter morning session and a separate afternoon session) instead of its usual single midday-to-afternoon block.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the open/closed dot know about public holidays?
No. It only knows the regular weekly trading days and session times published by each exchange, computed against your browser's clock. It will show "open" on a weekday holiday when the exchange is actually closed. Check the linked source for each exchange's holiday calendar.
Why do some exchanges show two time ranges?
A few markets — the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Indonesia Stock Exchange in this table — split the trading day into a morning and an afternoon session with a midday break, rather than trading continuously. Both sessions are shown, and the status dot treats the midday gap as closed.
Is this page showing live prices?
No. It only shows whether an exchange's regular session is currently open or closed, based on the time of day — no price or index data appears on this page.
