Where is my portfolio stored?
Only in your browser's local storage on this device. fin·calc never sees it, and it doesn't sync across devices or browsers.
Does this connect to my brokerage account?
No. There's no brokerage login, no API key, and no account of any kind — you type in what you hold and what you paid, and optionally a current price whenever you want to check your gain/loss.
Why don't I see a live gain/loss right away?
Because fin·calc doesn't have a licensed live-quote feed connected yet. Enter a current price yourself (from your brokerage, an exchange page, or a source you trust) and the gain/loss updates immediately — labelled "user entered" so you always know it's not a live feed.
